#6: Author Discussion Groups and Books!

We have so many wonderful offers for our FAUSA’s Got Talent and More! virtual auction of talents that we will be sharing them via more frequent emails for the next couple of weeks! Auction bidding will start Sept. 27 and run through Oct. 3. You’ll receive a link to the auction catalog in plenty of time to look through and decide on what to bid on...stay tuned!

Today we feature two author discussion groups and one collection of book offers. Many of us are doing a lot more reading these days as we’re hunkered down at home...and do we have some great offers for you! You can participate in one of the book groups on an individual basis, or buy a collection of the Washington DC book group books for yourself or to give as gifts. Are you in a Zoom book group, maybe one of our several FAUSA book groups?! Or would you like to get some friends together to meet and discuss an author’s work? We have another great opportunity for you too!

Engage with author, Meg Gardiner, Sunday, October 25 at 4 pm CST as she shares her thoughts on writing and her latest book. Meg is the author of the UNSUB series featuring the fictional FBI profiler, Caitlin Hendrix, which is being developed for television by CBS. Her second UNSUB book, Into the Black Nowhere (Dutton, January 30), follows Hendrix as she tracks a serial killer who operates along Interstate 35 and is set in Central Texas. This opportunity is for individuals. Visit her website.

Book Club Bonus Offer! A private Zoom presentation for your own book club by our very own FAUSA member and author, Juliet Cutler! Juliet’s book, Among the Maasai, was FAWCO’s summer book read. In addition to the Zoom presentation, the winner of this offer will receive receive five copies of the book AND bookmarks handmade by Maasai women in Tanzania

This item offers double benefit by supporting FAUSA’s philanthropic projects as well as education and safety for Maasai girls.

The FAUSA DC region discussion group members would like you to experience some of the delightful, compelling books they have read and discussed recently. Sit back and revel in this collection of 16 books yourself or pass them along as gifts for your family or friends!
